A Segmented View of Graffiti, (Master)Pieces by Sam Sneke

Cut Kulture and Vain are pleased to present the work of Sam Sneke, A legend of SeattleÕs Graffiti art and Hip Hop scene. Known around the world for his stylish, vibrant aerosol murals Sneke and his crew, DVS, are the creators of the most lively and aesthetically accomplished murals in the Pacific NW. In  the vernacular of graffiti Snekes paintings use common shapes like arrows, trapezoids, and the remnants of letter forms with incredibly vibrant color schemeÕs to create what are in essence abstractions. For those who are familiar with the symbolology of graffiti art, and those who are not this show will deepen your appreciation for what is called StyleWriting.

A segmented view of graffiti, (Master)Pieces by Sam Sneke is the fourth in a series of art shows which will be curated by Cut KultureÕs visual arts director Damion Hayes at the VAIN Salon gallery.

The series aims to create a dialogue between SeattleÕs arts patrons and the burgeoning

contemporary urban arts scene in Seattle.
