Featuring New
work/Installation by Brandon Graham, David Linder,
and Corey Lewis
"The Rey"
Brandon
Graham, David Linder, and Corey
Lewis, considered some of the nations top young illustrators, have
gained international acclaim by infusing their work with Japanese comic and
graffiti influences. Brandon Graham
was born in 1976,most of his life was spent in Seattle. He left high school
after six months to draw on any surface
he could. He has done work for:
Heavy Metal, DC comics, Spumco and lots of others. Seattle native David Linder paints in aerosol, acrylic, and even latex house
paint. His work reflects his love of graffiti, comic books and hip-hop culture.
Important themes in his art include community, and life in the city. Corey Lewis likes Kung-Fu
styles, and how they are named. Because of this, he has decided to have
definite, labled "drawing styles" of of hisown... Including
"Cutie Ball" and "Wing-Wang" style of drawing. He have had
the fortune of professionally penning some of his favorite childhood heroes
(Transformers, Street Fighter, Thundercats) and is currently enjoying the
immesurable pleasure of penning his OWN contemporary heroes (Sharknife,
Appleton, Apollonia NO!)
ÒYour Egyptian JetsÓ
is the second in a series of art shows which will be curated by
Cut KultureÕs
visual arts director Damion Hayes at the VAIN Salon gallery.
The series aims to create a dialogue between SeattleÕs arts
